Family Weekend Winter 2012
February 24 and 25, 2012
Throughout Family Weekend you are treated to a college fair, presentations, demonstration classes, and a Landmark Sharks basketball game. As has become our tradition at Landmark, we will honor our new Phi Theta Kappa members with an official induction ceremony on Friday, which all are invited to attend, along with an afternoon filled with various campus activities. Saturday offers several educational and informational sessions.
Family Weekend is a wonderful time to meet the faculty and staff of Landmark College, through the many social events, workshops, and presentations. Parents meet with their son's or daughter's academic advisor who are on hand throughout the weekend. We believe it is beneficial for students to attend these meetings and participate in the conversation as part of our focus on helping students to develop and take charge of their own learning.

This session will review and discuss the positive experience each semester is intended to provide and how sustained success and achievement over a number of semesters may serve some students better and provide more options for their next step.

This workshop is appropriate for any family, regardless of how long the student has been enrolled at Landmark. This workshop discusses the educational, pragmatic, and practical issues that should be considered in making this decision. In addition we will discuss the actual transfer process and things one needs to consider in making an appropriate transition to the next institution. Students are encouraged to attend with their families.
