Landmark Programs: Four Points of Entry (2 min)

Our students are intelligent and have great potential, but some are not yet ready for college-level coursework. Placement testing helps determine the best starting point for each student. All Landmark College students must have a diagnosed learning disability.

There are a number of options for students who would like to take advantage of what Landmark College has to offer students with ADHD and/or LD. We have programs designed to fit a variety of needs.

Four Points of Entry

Executive Function Curriculum (Bridge Semester) provides short-term, intensive support to visiting college students who are struggling in their studies. Students earn credit while developing executive functioning skills and strategies needed to successfully return to their home college. Students are placed into an English class and meet weekly with other students in the program. They also choose electives from the course catalog.

Credit Curriculum allows students who have the skills to begin college studies in full-credit classes. Students are placed in English 101 and FY101 Perspectives in Learning. They also choose academic electives from the Landmark College catalog.

Language Intensive Curriculum (LIC) , a non-credit path for students with significant difficulties in reading and writing, combines direct instruction in language skills with the use of technology. Each class is aimed at improving basic reading, writing and communication, as well as teaching students how to use assistive technology.

Partial Credit Curriculum gives students the opportunity to work on essential writing skills without credit, while also taking two courses for college credit, a First Year Seminar and a course in Art or Physical Education.
