Academic Programs: Points of Entry - Partial Credit Curriculum

Back to Points of Entry

Partial Credit CurriculumThe Partial Credit curriculum is for students who need a one-semester blend of non-credit and credit skill development courses and assistive technology instruction before moving into the credit curriculum.

The Partial Credit curriculum requires students to take a non-credit writing course, a credit First Year Seminar course, and two electives—one non-credit and one credit. In addition, students are introduced to assistive technology strategies to help improve reading comprehension, fluency, written expression, and organization of ideas. Students with reading disorders and AD/HD often benefit from learning and using assistive technology to become more effective and efficient learners.
